Young people from scheduled castes will receive jobs from the Yogi government in the coming year: Doctor Nirmal
The unemployed youth of scheduled castes in Lucknow received a gift for the new year from Honourable Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. People from Scheduled Castes who are economically weaker will be made into business contacts by the Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation. The unemployed youngsters of scheduled caste have been urged to apply for the new programme that would be introduced in the new year by Dr Lalji Prasad Nirmal, President of Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation.
Dr Nirmal has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for new initiatives aimed at advancing scheduled castes. In Rajdhani, at the VIP Guest House, Dr Nirmal was giving a news conference speech.
According to Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation President Dr Lalji Prasad Nirmal, the government is making every attempt to improve the economic standing of members of the scheduled caste. With the help of this programme, 500 state youngsters would be connected with self-employment, reducing the number of jobless people in the coming year. The following fiscal year will see its implementation in all districts. According to the MS Act of 2013, the programme will be prioritised for 100 people who have been designated as cleaners and their dependents.
Dr Nirmal has urged young people without jobs to start their own businesses and get work. The business correspondents will receive financial support through this programme to purchase computers, hardware software, a fingerprint scanner, a swapping machine, and inverters, all of which will be interest-free and run by the company. Correspondents in business will represent nationalised banks as their authorised agents. The concerned bank would provide the business correspondent with a deposit of Rs. 15000 as security for this.
Business correspondents will be trained for this and will be informed of various state and federal government programmes. Business correspondents who are knowledgeable about all Scheduled Castes policies will be useful to these sectors as a Dalit friends. It is also noteworthy that projects up to Rs. 15 lahks under the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Swarojgar Yojana, involving animal husbandry, dairy industry, food and seed shops, beekeeping, tea stalls, are being funded to connect the Scheduled Castes of Uttar Pradesh's weaker groups with self-employment. In the past two years, the corporation has connected 51,000 persons with self-employment through this programme, and they have received funds totalling Rs. 5503.43 lacks.
The Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation promotes the general advancement of these groups as well as the economic empowerment of the scheduled classes. 1389 villages in the state that are primarily comprised of scheduled castes have been chosen as part of the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gramme Yojana.
In addition to government housing, these villages are given access to clean drinking water, liquid and solid waste disposal facilities, permanent restrooms in schools and Anganwadis, the building of connection roads, solar lights, and street lighting. The toilet, old age, and widow pension schemes will apply to these villages.
